About the Author
E.E. Cummings (October 14, 1894 – September 3, 1962), associated with modern, free-form poetry was a multi-faceted talent. He was a poet, essayist, painter and playwright and went beyond the conventions of structure, grammar, syntax and style to create new poetic expressions. In his own words, Cummings writes about ‘ecstasy and anguish, being and becoming; the immortality of the creative imagination and the indomitability of the human spirit’. His poetry remains timeless for its imaginative amalgamation of the traditional with modernism.
