About the Author

Yarlagadda Lakshmi Prasad is an Indian writer and politician. He is the Chairman of the A.P. Hindi Academy; Professor in Hindi at Andhra University, Visakhapatnam, India, and is a former Rajya Sabha Member. He received the third highest Indian civilian honour of the Padma Shri in 2003, followed by the Sahitya Akademi Award in 2010. The Government of India honoured him again in 2016 with the Padma Bhushan, the third highest Indian civilian award.

Kanak Manjari Sahoo (born April 14, 1957) is a short story writer and translator. She has received many awards and felicitation from some famous organizations. Her works have been widely published in different Odia journals and newspapers. Her published books include short story collection Astaraga (1998) and translation collections Abu Khan ra Chheli (1998), Lal Daudi O Anyanya Galpa (2003), Katha Ghara O Anyanya Galpa (2006), Battrish Singhasan Katha (2014), Sudura Jharana Panire (2014), Radha Krisha (2011), Akhira Paribhasha (2012), Laghu Katha Sangraha (2016), Malala Atmajibani (2014), Desha Bideshara Lokakatha (2019), Bharatiya O Nepali Bhashara Nirbachita Galpa (2019), Nistabda Pruthivi (2021), Chandar Pahada (2021). She lives in Bhubaneswar.
