About the Author
Kamalakanta Lenka (1935-1999). Many of Kamalakanta’s best-known poems are about the people, their existential angst, their loneliness, insanity and death. His published books of poems include Preeti O Pratiti, Uttaran, Kabitar Munha, Nija Saha Gote Sakshatakar, Khasibar Bela and Gita Gaanare Pakshi. A winner of the Odisha Sahitya Akademi award for Srotara Nama Rutu, Kamalakanta was a Reader in Odia literature and language serving in different government colleges of the state.
