Pasanara Prema Sangeeta was originally published in 2013 by Bharat Bharati, Cuttack. This is the international edition for global Odia readers. The collection has sixty one poems written in two spans – some poems are written between 1983 and 1984 and some are in 2012. Half of the poem “Jibanachhanda” is written in 1984 and other half in 2012. Many poems are written around the immigrant’s feelings and nostalgia.

About the Author

Satya Pattanaik has published two collections of poetry in Odia (Pasanara Prema Sangeeta – Bharat Bharati, Cuttack and Jharka Khola Thau – Paschima Publication, Bhubaneswar) and two translation collections of world literature in Odia (Kshyudragalpara Mrutyu O Anyanya Galpa and Ama Nijara Mati O Anyanya Kabita – Paschima Publication, Bhubaneswar). He edits Odia literary magazine ‘Pratishruti’ from USA. To propagate Indian literature globally he manages a non-profit publishing initiative BLACK EAGLE BOOKS (www.blackeaglebooks.org) with a focus in republication of classic and contemporary literature, managing translation projects, providing editing and other literary services to the writers.
