Dr. Santosh Kumar Nayak (b. 1991) emerges as one of the most distinguished luminaries of the contemporary literary and academic firmament-an erudite bilingual critic of rare discernment, a prolific poet of profound resonance, a consummate storyteller with a commanding narrative voice, an accomplished translator of subtle sensibilities, an incisive editor of refined taste, and, above all, an exceptionally brilliant scholar and pedagogue in the Higher Education Department, Government of Odisha. He has repeatedly secured the pinnacle of success in numerous competitive examinations of both state and national eminence-most notably achieving the First Position in the National Eligibility Test (N.E.T.) in consecutive years (December 2012 and 2013), in the Lecturers’ Recruitment Examination (2016) conducted by the State Selection Board, Government of Odisha, and in the Assistant Professorship in Odia (O.E.S.-I) Recruitment Examination (2017) conducted by the Odisha Public Service Commission-besides earning several other honours of equal academic grandeur.Presently, he presides with distinction as Head of the Postgraduate Department of Odia at Fakir Mohan Autonomous College, Balasore-a venerable citadel of culture and scholarship in northern Odisha-where his visionary leadership and inspiring erudition continue to invigorate and elevate the intellectual ethos of the institution.A writer and editor of exceptional versatility, Dr. Nayak’s literary repertoire is as vast as it is profound.
