About the Author
Debapriya Priyadarshi Chakra is an influential young voice in Odia literature. He is adept at writing fiction, nonfiction and poetry. Among numerous awards and felicitations to his credit, he has received Junior Fellowship from Ministry of Culture, India; State Youth Award for literature from Odisha State Government and Rabi Patnayak Smruti Galpa Puraskar by Bhubaneswar Book Fair Committee. His publication include Parva (combined story collection of 5 young authors), Dambaru o anyanya gapa (1st short story collection), Iswara Mafkara (2nd short story collection), Sabdara Simarekha (Essay collection) along with two books of children literature to his credit. His short stories are enlisted in Anthology of NBT and Sahitya Akademi. He reflects his real-life experiences in short stories which attract readers for its narration style and story crafting. Many of his short stories have been translated into English, Hindi, Dogri, Kashmiri and Bodo languages. He worked in the media sector for a long period. Presently he is working in the Odisha education service as a Govt. Lecturer since 2017 after clearing OPSC. His interests include literature, cinema, cooking and travelling.
