Notes on the Rock of Job Charnock
₹250.00The theme of this collection is Kolkata; the city, its heritage, history, people and landscape. Many claim that Job Charnock founded the city. Some historians opine differently. Flowing deep river Ganges is a holy mind space here. Great souls are cremated on its holy banks. Some spiritual hubs have settled over the decades. I recall all visitors with whom I paid visits to many ghats of the Ganges in different times. Matters of the heart are more than just physical. No change in me has happened to me as a primeval lover.

Selected Poems of Biraja Routray
₹250.00At times, life with all its uncertainties leaves us startled. Everything shatters in a jiffy, shaking the entire existence of human beings. The long cherished dreams are swept away like the cobwebs, bringing in a pall of gloom. Some of us give in or succumb to such uneven and unbecoming things and end up groaning under the weight of dejection. Only a few of us endure the misfortunes with a rare sense of endurance and resilience and undertake the path fraught with challenges and hardships. Dr. Biraja Routray is such a person who has undoubtedly undergone the toughest phase of his life but nothing has dampened his fighting spirit, mental agility and matchless creativity. Instead of being down in the dumps, he has emerged victorious by forging indomitable fortitude in the face of adversity. Dr. Biraja Routray is a name to reckon with. By dint of his inordinate passion, creative brilliance, social commitment and exceptional insights into human life, he has been ruling the hearts of legions of people all across the state. Be it administration, literature or social activism – he has left an indelible imprint on almost all the domains. Being a former Administrative Officer (OAS), writer and social activist, he has navigated the complex tapestry of life with elan and ease. His accomplishments when it comes to literature are absolutely incredible. His impressive literary oeuvre includes eight short story collections including Gahali Arapate (2007), Bahu Bachan (2010), Pratipakshyara Hasa (2001), Bisama Bahu (2013), Purna O Shunya (2016), Taravarti Akasha (2028), Nua Gapa Ra EMI (2024) and Sabu Modare Jibana (A Short Story Collection based on Disability), a recently published novel, Olatpur (2025) andfive books of poems in Odia. His poetry volumes include Kemiti Vijaye Barsha (2004), Atma Darshan (2007), Sandhikala (2011), Abhishek Hrudayara (2015) and Nua Janha Uinchhi (2024). His literary endeavours have tasted incredible success and won him multiple accolades. In recognition of his literary contribution, he has been conferred with numerous illustrious and coveted awards like Katha Naba Pratibha Puraskar, Kanhei Katha Puraskar, Utkal Sahitya Samaja Yuva Purskar, Rabi Patnaik Smruti Galpa Purskar, Bhubaneswar Pustak Mela Puraskar. Jagdish Yuva Sanman, Gokarnika Galpa Sanman and Sri Subrat Rath Smaraki Puraskar by Sri Gangadhara Rath. Apart from this, adding feather to his cap, he represented Odisha in All India Differently Abled Writers’ Meet-2023 organized by Kendriya Sahitya Akademi. Translating a writer like Biraja Routray is a tough job. His metaphors are unusual, multi layered and rich in association which renders them extremely difficult to translate. However, we have tried our best to retain the originality, intent, essence and lyricism of the poems during the transit from the source to the target language. Even though it is quite natural that while moving from source to target, certain things tend to fall through the cracks, we have made sincere efforts to make these poems sound and feel as natural and genuine as possible.

She of the Sky
₹300.00She of the Sky is a lyrical collection of poems by Sankar Narayan Mallick woven with fine threads of sensitivity-moments where silence becomes eloquent and reflection acquires depth. The poems move fluidly from tender addresses to the Muse to meditations on life itself, remembrance that spans across distances, the grace of total surrender, rediscoveries that remake the self and the quiet sustaining strength of human connection. Shifting effortlessly from playful to passionate, from intricate introspection to luminous strands of love, Mallick’s verses invite the reader to a richly textured and deeply absorbing poetic world.

The Digital Upanishad
₹310.00The Digital Upanishad is part of a necessary tradition of modern spiritual writing: texts that do not flee the world but light it up; texts that do not curse the age but summon it to awareness. These poems are not answers to be ingested. They are pauses to be practiced. They are invitations to reclaim a deeper literacy-the literacy of attention, of presence, of interiority-in a civilization that is adept at distraction. In the act of reading these poems, one may feel disturbed. That is their gift. For what disturbs our sleep may also awaken our sight. What interrupts our scrolling may restore our seeing. What questions our speed may return us to the slow, difficult, luminous labor of becoming human. May this book be read not in haste, but in intervals. May it be entered not as content, but as a companion. And may the silence between its lines teach us again how to hear ourselves in a world that never stops talking.

Where East Wind Whispers
₹325.00Every human being carries within an inner consciousness – a self untouched by social norms, expectations, or imposed identities. Beneath roles and responsibilities lives a free being, seeking expression. That inner space – quiet yet powerful – gives birth to poetry.Human beings are part of nature, as instinctive and organic as rivers and trees. What sets us apart is our reflective mind – our ability to look inward and recognize the self that often remains hidden. When we truly listen, we may discover a voice different from the one the world assigns us – a voice that is tender, questioning, resilient, and free. Where East Wind Whispers is born from that inward listening.
It gathers memories of sea winds and village ponds, of migration and return, of love and longing, of faith and doubt. It is a conversation between the child who listened outside her father’s study and the woman who now writes her own lines. If, within these pages, you pause and hear your own inner wind whispering – then this book has fulfilled its purpose.
