₹200.00Hrushikesh Mallick (b. 5 March 1955 – Bhadrak, Odisha, India) is a poet, scholar, teacher and journalist. He has published twelve poetry collections- Dhana Saunta Jhia (1987), Ujuda Kshetara Gita (1991), Ghata Akash (1998), Dharmapatni (2000), Jeebananama (2000), Sakshi Chandra Surya (2004), Basusena (2006), Jeje Dekhinathiba Bharat (2015), Rebati (2016), Sarijaithiba Opera (2019), Bhabesh Maiti Ghare Achha? Having a D.Litt in Comparative literature, he has taught Odia literature in various Govt. Colleges of Odisha and nominated as President, Odisha Sahitya Akademi (2021-2024) by Govt. of Odisha. At present, he edits literary pages of the Odia daily, Dharitri.

Itabhatira Shilpi
“Itabhatira Shilpi” is an award winning short story collection by Gayatri Saraf, an eminent storyteller from Odisha. The collection has 13 short stories of varied themes, mostly set on western Odisha, reflect author’s deep compassion and wide sympathy for the troubled and tormented. The collection has received Central Sahitya Academy award in 2017.
Gayatri Saraf was born on August 17, 1952 in Bolangir and spent most of her teaching career there. She has published thirteen short story collections in Odia to her credit. For the short story collection Itabhatira Shilpi, she was awarded Central Sahitya Academy award in 2017. For teaching, she has received President’s award in 2004. She was Vice-President of Odisha Sahitya Academy from 2015 to 2018. She lives in Bhubaneswar.

These stories are all about campus life and real and imaginary friendships, encounters, romances, relationships and experiences. They are largely fictional. The BITS Pilani campus is in the remote north corner of Rajasthan in India. Excepting for a few staff kids, all the students lived in hostels. The boy to girl ratio on campus was about 11:1 and this gender imbalance, along with the remoteness from a big town or city, played out in interesting ways in the campus social scene. This book attempts to capture this social scene. Part 2 of this book is based on fictional adventures of some of the author’s batchmates after graduating from Pilani. This book will recreate memories for ex-students from the 70s through to the 90s and also give more recent students a reflection of campus life back then.
